Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Daryl tasted the wanderer's life at an early age, traveling Europe and North America with his parents before settling back in Ireland. Growing up to music as diverse as The Beatles and Stones to Slade and Led Zeppelin, Daryl's first paying job as a musician was at the age of fifteen and was a solo acoustic performance opening for a local band for which he received the equivalent of $5.00 and was slipped a pint of Guinness under the table.
After immigrating to Canada he became very active in the Niagara music scene, fronting the popular 80's rock band Tracy Kane. 1982 saw the release of their self-titled album on the H&S Records label, which was also home to another Canadian indie band, Helix.

Over the past several years Daryl has garnered a strong following as a solo performer and has returned to his acoustic roots, bringing a seasoned and experienced ease to his performances. Drawing from a wide variety of musical styles and influences, (including his Celtic heritage) which showcase his vocal and instrumental talents; Daryl leaves his audiences wanting more.
Semi Tone - Mono Tone
A solo acoustic show…with attitude!
You take the lead singer/guitar player from the band Tone Deaf, give him a microphone, an acoustic guitar and a harmonica or five, and you have Mono Tone. Cleaver name, eh? So, let's just assume for the sake of argument this guy, Mark, has a clue and can sing and play guitar. Fairly safe bet there. So, what sets him apart from everyone else? To start with, he will play almost anything on an acoustic guitar. I mean, from Van Morrison to Van Halen, nothing is sacred. Add to that a large repertoire of songs, an "If I can hum it, I can play it" attitude, and a sense of humour to boot, you get Mono Tone.
Mark has been performing since he was thirteen, acoustically and in bands. He is considerably older than that now, by the way. One of his favourite types of venues has always been the campfire at the cottage routine. This is what he likes to bring to the every venue he plays... a "pull up a picnic table and join in' kind of vibe! An audience is all the accompaniment he needs…no request is off limits…the human jukebox…just don't ask where to put the quarters!
From patios to large parties, Mono Tone can rise to any occasion. Pull up a pint and join in!

Jim Witter
In an era when stars are manufactured at painfully young ages..., when everyone from your neighbor down the block to dear old Dad can attain seemingly instant celebrity status..., Jim Witter, the humble, unassuming, golden-throated tenor, who can paint a ballad with the delicacy of Serat and with the ferocity of a rousing rocker like Pollock, reached the summit of his stunning major-label debut, Forgiveness, the old-fashioned way: He climbed it. Step-by-step. Day-by-day. Year-by-year.
Diane Chase
From humble beginnings in Sudbury, Ontario and the youngest of ten children, she found her voice at age five and as a teenager began touring with the popular band “Flirt” in Ontario and Quebec. Realizing the power of stage performing, Diane packed up, moved to Toronto and never looked back. Although earning her Canadian securities license and working as an investment banker by day, the call to write, record and sing took over, and Diane committed to a full time career as a recording and performing artist.
As one of Toronto’s highly sought after and most established female vocalists, Diane’s quest to improve her craft led her to Nashville and home again to Kitchener, Ontario’s Cedar Tree Studios where Diane worked with CCMA Award winning producer Rick Hutt. The release of her first CD, “IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING” followed shortly thereafter. The title track and first single skyrocketed to the Top 10 and remained entrenched at the top of radio play lists for months, a precursor of the success to follow. The video became a CMT favorite, earning the # 9 spot on their Top 20 Countdown. Subsequent singles and videos WALKIN’ AWAY WITH YOU, TAKING BACK MY HEART, THERE I GO AGAIN, CRAZY IN LOVE all ruled the charts over the next 24 months and culminated in 2 Top 10 and 4 Top 20 hits on the charts as well as 4 Top 10 videos on CMT. Tone Deaf
Ok, let's be completely honest here...these guys have no freaken idea what the hell they are doing. They're just four beer guzzling part time musicians that were looking for a way to cover their bar tab. They started playing '70s rock because that's what they know, and presto, you have a classic rock band. Talent, no...good looks, mmm, not so much...partiers, oh yeah! Whatever works I guess.
"Never mind your daughters, hide your beer!"
Fortunately for them there are enough of you out there that love a good party and are lushes to boot. (Do not attempt to see a Tone Deaf show sober...just trust me on this one. -Ed.) Regarding the music, the theory is they "...play the songs the way the artist meant to record them." Of course they do! Whatever they want to believe...whatever makes your bunny jump!
